Officer michael pascale of the nypd first saw joey on a cold, moist afternoon. He was patrolling a public park in his squad automobile while he found a bit black domestic dog lurking amid the shattered beer bottles and used needles.
The dog was being held to a fence through a heavy chain around his neck, which officer pascale saw. Joey was damp, shivering, and manifestly deserted.
“he’s simply looking up at me with those ‘help me’ eyes,” pascale stated to the dodo. The primary factor that sprang to me turned into, “i needed to get him out of right here.”
